Role Description
This is a seasonal, on-site position located in Philipsburg, MT. As an Activities Guide at The Ranch at Rock Creek, you will lead guests through a variety of outdoor adventures, ensuring safety, enjoyment, and exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities include organizing and conducting activities such as hiking, horseback riding, fishing, skiing, and other recreational pursuits offered year-round at the Ranch. Additional duties involve maintaining equipment, monitoring guest safety, and providing engaging education about the surrounding wildlife and environment while showcasing exceptional hospitality.
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in outdoor recreation, including hiking, angling, horseback riding, and other related activities
- Customer service and interpersonal communication skills, along with the ability to engage, educate, and connect with guests
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and first aid; certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred
- Organizational and time-management skills to ensure smooth operation of activities
- Adaptability and problem-solving abilities in outdoor environments
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude, even in challenging conditions
- Previous experience in guiding, outdoor education, or similar fields is preferred
- Passion for outdoor activities, nature, and delivering memorable guest experiences
