THE R CHILD is launching an engaging STEAM Summer Camp where children explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on projects and creative learning. Our goal is to inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence in children while providing a fun and safe learning environment. We are looking for an experienced Camp Director to lead the camp team, ensure smooth daily operations, and create an exciting and supportive environment for campers.
Camp Dates
Summer 2026: June 29th - September 4th
Staff must be available for:
- Pre-camp training (paid)
- Full camp schedule
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily camp operations and ensure a safe, positive environment
- Manage and support camp staff, instructors, and assistants
- Coordinate schedules, activities, and transitions between sessions
- Communicate with parents and address any concerns
- Ensure campers are engaged and participating in STEAM activities
- Monitor safety procedures and camp policies
- Assist instructors when needed and support classroom management
- Maintain organization of camp materials and supplies
- Create a welcoming, energetic atmosphere for campers and staff
Qualifications
- Experience working with children (camp, school, after-school, etc.)
- Leadership or management experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple activities and staff members
- Responsible, energetic, and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Background in education, youth programs, or camps is a plus
