Summary
The QTI Group is partnering with a Madison-based company in search of a Chief Information Officer (CIO). The CIO will provide executive leadership for the organization’s technology strategy, ensuring IT systems, security, and digital capabilities fully support business goals across a multi‑site environment.
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a technology strategy aligned with business goals.
- Advise executive leadership on technology trends, digital transformation, and emerging risks.
- Identify opportunities where technology creates value, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
Enterprise Systems & Modernization
- Evaluate and enhance the organization’s technology infrastructure, applications, and networks.
- Lead modernization of core platforms (ERP, CRM, logistics) and integrate AI-driven solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration of systems across all functions, supporting growth and operational excellence.
Cybersecurity, Compliance & Risk Management
- Partner with IT security provider to maintain strong cybersecurity programs, including incident response, vulnerability management, and identity management.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations (e.g., PCI, HIPAA).
- Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and readiness.
IT Operations & Governance
- Set strategic and tactical goals, policies, and procedures for the IT organization.
- Manage IT budgeting, vendor relationships, procurement, and contract negotiations.
- Drive continuous improvement in IT processes, service delivery, and cost efficiency.
Team Leadership & Organizational Culture
- Lead, develop, and mentor IT managers and cross-functional technology teams.
- Oversee performance management, goal setting, and workforce development.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and customer service.
Operations, Documentation & Support
- Oversee communication systems, networks, and connectivity across locations.
- Ensure systems documentation, policies, and procedures are current and effective.
- Support organizational mission, values, and a safe workplace.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/MIS or related field.
- 10 years relevant IT experience, with at least 8 years in an IT leadership role
- Strong technical knowledge of: database applications, system security requirements/best practices, and network infrastructure
- Familiarity with modern enterprise systems and cloud-based solutions.
- Experience in project management and change management.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage large budgets.
- Ability to build high‑performing teams and drive organizational change.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Action‑oriented, decisive, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
