Under the supervision of a Team Leader, the Resident Assistant assists members with mental illness and need 24- hour supervision. The Resident Assistants role is to assist/prompt members to complete tasks such as activities of daily living and ensuring their independence and freedom of choice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Pass medications correctly
2. Assist/Prompt the members in doing their laundry
3. Assist/Prompt the members with cooking as assigned ensuring safety first and teaching them the skills needed to complete the task.
4. Assist/Prompt the members to complete their cleaning tasks as assigned with help/supervision as needed.
5. Engage the members in activities
6. Ensure safety/security to all members
7. Assist members in getting to appointments as scheduled with support and supervision.
8. Work with other employed staff as a positive team to ensure the success and happiness of the members.
9. Complete all documentation as assigned
Must be at least 18 years old
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver license
- Medication Manager certification or obtain through The Pride Group
- Advanced training or experience with person with disabilities is preferred but not required
Pre employment physical and drug screen required
This position that will include weekends.
