EHS Coordinator (Manufacturing)

JOB SUMMARY:

The EHS Coordinator is responsible for managing environmental, health, and safety compliance across multiple manufacturing facilities in North America. This role oversees environmental permitting, regulatory reporting, safety programs, and incident investigations while partnering with plant leadership to ensure safe and compliant operations. The EHS Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting a strong safety culture across multiple locations.

Key performance objectives are:

· Maintain environmental permitting compliance across multiple manufacturing facilities.
· Ensure accurate and timely completion of environmental regulatory reporting.
· Support the development and implementation of facility safety programs.
· Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
· Promote a strong culture of environmental compliance and workplace safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage facility air permitting compliance, including oversight of Title V permits.
Oversee hazardous waste management in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Coordinate and submit environmental reports including TRI and Tier II reporting requirements.
Manage SPCC programs and ensure compliance with stormwater management requirements.
Conduct and document accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Develop, support, and maintain facility safety programs and compliance initiatives.
Provide OSHA and EPA training to employees and leadership teams.
Partner with plant leadership to ensure consistent EHS policies and procedures across multiple facilities.
Support regulatory inspections and ensure appropriate documentation and compliance measures are maintained.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working across multiple facilities.
Ability to manage environmental and safety compliance responsibilities independently.
Travel to other company facilities will be required.

EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Working knowledge of Title V air permits, air permitting compliance, and hazardous waste management.
Understanding of environmental reporting requirements including TRI and Tier II reports.
Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements.
Experience conducting incident investigations and performing root cause analysis.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage compliance activities across multiple facilities.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Approximately 30% travel to manufacturing facilities within the United States and occasional travel to Canada.
