Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled Manager, Project Design to support our Design and Preconstruction efforts in the Heavy Industrial and Food & Beverage (F&B) industry.
The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and experience in creating millwright, fabrication and rigging solutions with a focus on hygienic environments and food grade design.
Experience in plumbing and/or resinous flooring systems a plus.
This role combines the leadership and direct responsibilities of technical consultation, engineering, detailing, and estimating to meet the unique needs of our customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of engineers across our portfolio of industrial services. Services include resinous flooring, sanitary drains, equipment rigging, millwright services, sanitary and structural platforms, custom fabrication, and crane services.
• Prepare and present technical proposals and cost estimates tailored to F&B production and other industrial facilities and their specific regulatory and operational requirements.
• Work closely with the technical sales and operations teams to develop compliant, energy-efficient, and reliable industrial solutions
• Engage with customers to consult on designs and pricing.
• Provide technical support to our operations teams throughout project planning.
• Participate in trade shows, industry seminars, and technical workshops relevant to the F&B sector.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Industrial Engineering. (Structural PE is a Plus) or 10 years in project management with a focus on Mechanical or Millwright Services.
• Minimum 7 years of project management or engineering experience in the MEP or process engineering field, preferably within the Food & Beverage or heavy industrial space.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and mechanical systems (Millwright).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Revit MEP, and MS Office; knowledge of process simulation tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and technical assessments.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with turnkey MEP project delivery for food or beverage processing plants.
• Background in custom fabrication.
• Understanding of automation and control systems in utility management
