Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pool Technician to join our aquatic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation, cleaning, and maintenance of swimming pools and related equipment at various aquatic facilities. Your expertise will help maintain safe, clean, and inviting environments for pool users. Duties
- Perform routine pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing, and debris removal to ensure optimal water clarity and hygiene.
- Conduct water chemistry balancing by testing pH, chlorine levels, alkalinity, and other chemical parameters; adjust chemical agents accordingly to meet safety standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot pool plumbing systems, pumps, filters, heaters, and other equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Handle water treatment chemicals safely and accurately in accordance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of pools and equipment to identify potential problems early and perform preventative maintenance.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly while traveling between multiple client sites; adhere to all safety guidelines during outdoor work activities.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding maintenance procedures or concerns.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in service logs; follow safety procedures consistently during all tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with pool plumbing systems, mechanical components, or aquatic facility maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to pool equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Familiarity with handling water treatment chemicals safely and effectively.
- Prior experience in pool maintenance or aquatic facility operations preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment proficiently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating company vehicles is desirable.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Attention to detail in performing routine inspections, chemical balancing, and cleaning tasks.
- Knowledge of water treatment chemical handling protocols and safety standards.
