Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool cleaning, including skimming, brushing, vacuuming, and debris removal to maintain optimal water quality.
- Conduct water chemistry balancing by testing pH levels, alkalinity, chlorine levels, and other chemical parameters; adjust chemical agents safely and accurately.
- Inspect and troubleshoot pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, valves, and plumbing systems; identify issues and perform necessary repairs or recommend replacements.
- Maintain pool plumbing systems by inspecting pipes, fittings, valves, and ensuring leak-free operation.
- Handle water treatment chemicals responsibly following safety protocols; manage chemical storage and disposal in compliance with regulations.
- Operate company vehicles safely to reach client sites; adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during transportation.
- Document all service activities thoroughly in logs or digital records; communicate effectively with clients regarding maintenance needs or issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with pool maintenance including cleaning, chemistry balancing, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pool systems such as pumps, filters, heaters, and plumbing components.
- Familiarity with chemical agent handling for water treatment; understanding of safety procedures when working with chemicals.
- Hands-on experience with pool equipment repair and preventive maintenance using hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of aquatic facility operations or outdoor work experience is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle responsibly while adhering to safety standards.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor manual work in various weather conditions; comfortable working on ladders or in confined spaces if needed.
