What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Amenity Attendant position at The Pool Attendant Company?
We are looking for friendly faces to join our team as amenity attendants. As an amenity attendant, your job is to independently maintain a positive experience at a community pool by checking guests in, organizing furniture, and reporting concerns. Employees do NOT clean swimming pools, repair swimming pool machinery, or perform lifeguard duties. Instead, employees are solely responsible for the amenity area upkeep, guest experience, timely reporting of concerns and violations, and aesthetic presentation.
This job is great for readers, students, and those who have a proven track record of working independently.
The shifts available to work are 10am-6pm on any day of the week. Weekend and holiday availability is preferred. Interviews will take place via zoom this Thursday from 9am-7pm and Friday from 9am-12pm. The position itself will begin this Saturday!
No prior experience is necessary for this position. We train all new hires.
What to expect: A community will see you as the figure of authority for their swimming pool as you will be responsible for signing in guests, enforcing rules, and maintaining cleanliness. From the time you arrive to the time you leave; you are the sole supervisory figure of the pool so you must be someone who has a high level of integrity and attention to detail. You must be someone who can perform well under stress as there may be times when conflicts could arise as a result of your enforcement of rules.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.
- Experience in customer service and customer facing positions.
- If tattoos are visible, the applicant must have the ability to cover them if on head, face, neck, hands, or deemed offensive.
- No excessive facial piercings on cheeks, eyebrows, lips, or nose.
- Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background and previous employment screening
- No more than 4 jobs in the past 2 years
- Access to reliable transportation and/or personal vehicle.
- Proficient in English and can read/write in English
- Can work outside for extended periods of time with ranging temperatures and weather. *Shade can be expected for most of the shift*.

- Monitor pool activities to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Engage with guests, offering information about amenities and events.
- Handle conflicts and guest concerns with professionalism and poise.

Qualifications
- Strong customer service and guest service skills
- Ability to manage events and handle conflicts effectively
- Relevant experience with children and public speaking is a plus
- Background in food service, hospitality, or resort environments is beneficial
- No prior experience required; training will be provided
