Summary:
Assists members and guests in booking Spa services. Answers questions about Spa facilities and directs members and guests to their desired location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following;
- Responds to a high volume of telephone calls.
- Makes appointments for members and guests and cancels and/or modifies appointments as necessary.
- Greets members and guests in a professional manner and with a smile and checks member and guest ID upon arrival to the Spa.
- Assists members with product purchases and encourages retail sales.
- Keeps informed and knowledgeable of all Spa services, their times of operation, the facilities and retail merchandise.
- Answers questions and provides information to members and guests about the facility and provides members with their itineraries.
- Charges services to the member’s account or charges guests to their credit card or the member’s account.
- Operates and utilizes the reservation system.
- Provides information to members about new and upcoming events and classes.
- Keeps informed of opening & closing hours and procedures and reconciles all member and credit card transactions at the end of the closing shift.
- Enforces policies & procedures.
- Assists in other Spa departments as necessary.
- Attends monthly staff meeting.
- Communicates with members, co-workers, management and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor to reflect a positive image of The Polo Club.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Spa Front Desk Supervisor.
- Requires working on weekends regularly and some holidays
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Requires excellent customer service skills.
- Requires excellent telephone etiquette and skills.
- Knowledge of spa products and services preferred.
- Previous club experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers and members.
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of related training and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to communicate well in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software, Outlook and Reservation software. Must be able to complete computer related tasks in a timely manner.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
First Aid, AED and CPR certification.
