We are seeking a dependable, tech-savvy, and solutions-oriented Toast POS & AV Technician to support the daily operation of our restaurant and event technology systems. The Toast POS & AV Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting point-of-sale systems, network-connected devices, and audio-visual equipment to ensure smooth business operations, successful events, and exceptional guest experiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Toast POS systems, hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
· Support deployment of new POS terminals, menu updates, system configurations, and software upgrades.
· Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and transaction issues both onsite and remotely.
· Monitor and maintain network-connected business systems including routers, printers, firewalls, and related devices.
· Provide timely technical support and user assistance to team members and management.
· Set up, test, operate, and break down AV equipment for meetings, events, entertainment, and special functions.
· Coordinate with internal teams to determine AV and technical requirements before scheduled events.
· Connect, inspect, clean, transport, and maintain AV equipment according to company standards.
· Support media playback, sound systems, streaming tools, microphones, and related event technology.
· Maintain accurate inventory, repair logs, maintenance records, and equipment status reports.
· Assist in identifying technology improvements, operational efficiencies, and risk prevention opportunities.
· Participate in team meetings and provide input on ongoing technology needs and upgrades.
· Respond to urgent technical issues outside of standard business hours when needed.
· Assist with any other special projects or requests needed for operations
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
· Experience supporting Toast POS or similar restaurant technology platforms.
· Familiarity with AV systems, signal flow, sound equipment, and event technology.
· Experience working with:
- Windows and Android devices
- Printers and peripherals
- Routers and networking basics
- POS and hospitality technology systems
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
· Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt
· Coursework, certifications, or training in information technology, networking, AV support, or a related field is helpful but not required.
· This role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call support. The position may require prolonged standing, move equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
