Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) - Full Time, Part Time, Per Diem
$5,000 Sign on Bonus for Full-Time
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team at The Plaza Health and Rehabilitation. In this full-time, per diem role, you will work directly with our residents in a subacute rehabilitation setting, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their daily functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Occupational Therapy: Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans to promote patients' independence and functional abilities.
Patient Care: Engage residents in therapeutic activities and exercises that enhance their physical and cognitive skills.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to provide holistic care.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, home programs, and adaptive techniques to support recovery.
Assessment Support: Assist in assessing patients' needs and progress under the guidance of licensed occupational therapists.
Qualifications:
Certification: Current certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
Licensure: Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
Experience: Prior experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for helping others and working as part of a team.
