Warehouse Forklift Operator (3rd Shift)

The Plastek Group is seeking great people for its Manufacturing Division located in Erie, Pennsylvania. The Plastek Group is a multi-national custom plastics injection molder of consumer packaging for large companies such Proctor & Gamble, Unilever, Church & Dwight and many others. This is a 3rd shift position: 3rd Shift: 11:30pm-8am (overnight)

(Training provided to good candidates without experience.)

Pay starts at $16.00 but higher rates are possible with higher levels of experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following; Other duties may be assigned. Report to assigned area and Prepare work station with necessary materials for the day’s work. Ability to comprehend and follow prepared Work Instructions. Ability to read and understand work orders and labels. Pull orders accurately in preparation for prompt shipment. Verify and enter receipt of incoming shipments. Maintain information and entries in the SAP computer system for all incoming and outgoing transactions of materials and production. Performing Daily and Time sensitive Reports and completing Communication Logs and Check Lists. Operate Forklift equipment safely and efficiently. Check for safety defects and functionality of Forklifts before starting and report any problems immediately. Maintain good housekeeping practices and keep warehouse area clean at all times. Be self-motivated, carrying out routine responsibilities with little supervision

Required Qualifications:

- Diploma/GED

- Good attendance

- Good oral and written communication skills

- Good reading and interpretation skills

- Computer literacy

- Able to perform basic math functions

- Accurate and Detailed oriented

Preferred Experience:

- Related experience and/or training

- Current drivers license

- Forklift license

- SAP computer system

Work Environment and Safety Requirements:

- Moderate noise level

- Agree to follow all departmental and corporate safety policies at all times

- Comply with company uniform policy

- Personal Protective Equipment (safety shoes and glasses, ear plugs, hair nets) worn at all times

Shift differential of $0.50/hr. for 2nd shift and $1/hr. for 3rd shift.
