Overview
The Plastek Group is searching for an Automation Engineer for its Spectrum Molding Division located in Erie, PA! This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to work for a secure, progressive, and technologically advanced company.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic system design in support of custom automated assembly, inspection, fixturing and robotic systems.
- PLC and HMI programming utilizing RSLogix and FTView
- Programming with multiple robot languages; Epson, Kawasaki, Fanuc, wITTMANN
- Oversee the set-up and functioning of all automated equipment and machinery
- Participate in final system functional performance testing
- Research new equipment / technologies and recommend alternative engineering solutions to management to meet business needs
- Develop clear understanding of new automated equipment intended function, communicate/train technicians on set-ups and maintenance
- Design end of arm tools
Key Skills
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, or computer-generated reports
- Proficient with Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and sensors
- Proficient with robots; Epson, Kawasaki, Fanuc
- Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic operation
