THE PLASTEK GROUP is seeking a Process Engineer to work for one of the Company’s Erie, PA Manufacturing Divisions. This facility performs plastic injection molding and component assembly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and organize internal and external projects
- Interface with all departments (ie: Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Package Development, Customer Service, General Management) as required.
- Suggest methods, materials and tooling modifications per procedure.
- Sample and debug proto and production tooling per procedure.
- Implementation of new molds, system improvement, and experimental designs.
- Seek out technical knowledge by establishing contacts in the industry to help with suggestion to problem solving procedures.
- Assist technicians and/or divisions with troubleshooting problems.
- Pass required information (PM's) to production on release of the tool.
- Scientific molding
- Suggest and implement process and procedure improvements
