The Planet Group is seeking a New York City-based Video Editor to support one of the city's most iconic cultural institutions for an upcoming major campaign. This role is ideal for a storyteller who thrives in the "PBS-style" documentary space and understands the prestigious, intellectual, and welcoming pulse of New York City’s civic life.

- Hours: ~30 hours per week
- Duration: Immediate start through campaign launch at the beginning of June (Potential for extension based on project needs)
- Schedule: Flexibility to be available for team syncs on Tuesday & Thursday's between 9am-5pm, while editing hours are flexible outside of these windows
- Pay: $25–$30/hr, depending on experience
Video Editor Responsibilities:
- Process raw in-house footage and integrate stock assets to create polished, high-impact video content.
- Produce a high volume of short-form social media clips alongside long-form narrative pieces (6–10 minutes) for YouTube and web.
- Adhere strictly to established brand guidelines, pivoting between a flagship "prestigious" voice and a more "research-heavy/intellectual" tone depending on the specific project.
- Perform basic audio leveling and noise reduction (background noise/mouth sounds) to ensure professional quality control.
- Work within a large, 30 person Communications team to ensure all content is dynamic, inspiring, and culturally relevant.
Video Editor Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of professional video editing experience (Background in Non-Profit, Cultural Institutions, or News sectors is highly preferred).

- Must provide your own Adobe Creative Cloud subscription and possess hardware capable of handling large video files and 4K rendering.
- A deep understanding of NYC's landscape and cultural context is essential for authentic content creation.
