Position Overview
The Planet Group is seeking a Product Manager who will be responsible for defining and delivering software solutions that empower client''s field operations teams to more effectively support stores and franchisees. This role focuses on building and enhancing tools that streamline store consulting workflows, improve operational execution, and enable clear, actionable communication across the organization.
As a Product Manager, you will own key capabilities across operations platforms, including workflow management systems, task management tools, and communications integrations. You will partner closely with field leaders, product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure our tools are intuitive, efficient, and aligned to real-world operational needs.
This role is highly stakeholder-focused and requires strong organization, communication, and facilitation skills to translate complex operational challenges into scalable product solutions.
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of product management experience, preferably in enterprise tools, operations platforms, or workflow systems
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across business and technical teams
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas
• Experience working in Agile environments, including backlog management and sprint execution
• Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions and prioritize work
• Familiarity with workflow management, task management, or communications platforms is a strong plus
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting field operations, retail systems, or franchise environments
• Experience integrating multiple systems or working with platform-based architectures
• Exposure to reporting tools, dashboards, or operational analytics
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus)
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
• Own and evolve product strategy for Ops Innovation tools, including workflow management, tasking systems, and field communications platforms
• Translate field operations needs into a clear product vision, roadmap, and prioritized backlog
• Identify opportunities to simplify store operations and improve efficiency through digital solutions
Field Operations Enablement
• Build tools that support Area Leaders and field teams in planning, executing, and tracking store visits and operational activities
• Improve workflow efficiency by reducing manual effort, fragmentation, and redundant processes across systems
• Partner with operations stakeholders to deeply understand store and field pain points and translate them into scalable solutions
Workflow & Systems Innovation
• Define and deliver capabilities across task management, scheduling, reporting, and workflow automation
• Drive integration across systems to create a seamless operational experience (e.g., tasking reporting communications)
• Optimize user experience for both mobile and desktop environments in field-facing tools
Communications & Integrations
• Lead development of integrated communications capabilities to replace or enhance legacy systems and improve information flow to the field
• Ensure the right information reaches the right users at the right time through scalable and intuitive solutions
• Partner with internal teams and vendors on communications platform selection, integration, and rollout
Stakeholder Management & Execution
• Act as the primary point of contact across operations, product, tech, and leadership stakeholders
• Facilitate alignment across diverse teams, ensuring clarity on priorities, timelines, and tradeoffs
• Clearly articulate product decisions, roadmap updates, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences
Product Delivery & Agile Execution
• Write and refine user stories, manage backlog grooming, and participate in sprint planning and execution
• Work closely with engineering and design to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
• Lead testing, rollout, and adoption efforts for new features and enhancements
Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement
• Define and track KPIs related to adoption, efficiency gains, and operational impact
• Leverage data and user feedback to continuously refine workflows and product experiences
• Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve operational processes based on performance insights
