The Environmental Technician is responsible for handling hazardous waste safely and compliantly. This includes packaging, transporting, storing, and documenting materials, as well as operating equipment like forklifts.
- Material Handling: Segregating, packaging, and transporting hazardous materials.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records and storage compliance.
- Equipment Operation: Using forklifts and other mobile equipment.
- Documentation: Completing regulatory and customer-required paperwork.
- General Support: Performing additional tasks as assigned.
- Previous experience working in manufacturing/warehouse industry.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varied conditions.
- Visual and auditory acuity for safety and operational tasks.
- Ability to pass a standard background and drug screen.
- Willingness to wear PPE (e.g., respirator, Tyvek suit).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in warehouse/manufacturing.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Strong attendance and communication skills.
