Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various materials and thicknesses.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.
- Inspect welded joints and components for quality, defects, and adherence to specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to designs.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces prior to welding.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures in the welding area.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
- Minimum 2 years of professional welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Demonstrated understanding and adherence to welding safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Experience working with various metal types, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- AWS D1.1 or equivalent welding certification is preferred.
- Experience with various fabrication techniques (cutting, fitting, grinding).
- Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of quality control principles and inspection methods.
- Experience with advanced welding processes or specialized materials.
