Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supplier quality assurance programs and procedures.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Review and approve supplier documentation, including PPAPs, FMEAs, and control plans.
- Manage incoming material inspection and testing processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Facilitate supplier development programs and training.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar) or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in supplier quality management, including auditing, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective supplier collaboration.
- Experience with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
- - Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software.
- - Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.
- - Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- - Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) methodologies.
- - Proficiency in a specific ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
