Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Train, mentor, and supervise shipping and receiving personnel, fostering a productive team environment.
- Verify and reconcile incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, identifying discrepancies.
- Coordinate outbound shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and carrier selection.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent data entry and cycle counting processes.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and best practices within the shipping and receiving department.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies.
- Collaborate with production, quality control, and procurement departments to ensure smooth material flow.
- Proven experience in a shipping and receiving role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, including training and directing team members.
- Proficiency in using shipping software, barcode scanners, and other warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setting.
- - Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) beyond basic data entry.
- - Forklift certification or experience operating other specialized material handling equipment.
- - Basic understanding of inventory control principles and cycle counting.
- - Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts relevant to material flow.
- - Bilingual in Spanish (or other relevant language).
