Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and invoices.
- Accurately document and log all incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage or defects and report discrepancies.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to specifications.
- Schedule and coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and logistics providers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the company's inventory management system.
- Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving area for efficiency and safety.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and barcode scanners.
- Ability to accurately count, inspect, and document incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Experience with inventory management software beyond basic data entry
- Basic understanding of shipping regulations for hazardous materials
- Forklift certification
- Bilingual in Spanish
