Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up manufacturing equipment and machinery for production runs.
- Perform precise adjustments, calibrations, and alignments of machinery to meet product specifications.
- Conduct first-piece inspections and obtain quality approval before full production commencement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues, errors, or malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Interpret and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions during the setup process.
- Document all setup parameters, adjustments, and changes accurately for future reference and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all setups comply with safety standards and operational procedures.
- 2 years of experience as a Setup Technician or in a similar manufacturing role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven ability to set up, adjust, and troubleshoot production machinery.
- Skilled in using various hand/power tools and precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Understanding of quality control procedures and commitment to safety protocols.
- Experience with G-code programming or PLC logic.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software.
- Certifications in specialized areas (e.g., advanced hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics).
