Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on robotic systems and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and software issues in robotic cells.
- Execute repairs, replacements, and adjustments of robotic components and end-effectors.
- Modify existing robot programs (teach points, adjust parameters) to optimize production processes.
- Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new robotic systems.
- Calibrate robots and peripheral equipment to ensure precision and accuracy.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and program changes accurately.
- Associate's degree or technical certificate in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2 years of hands-on experience with industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in robot programming, teach pendant operation, and fault diagnosis/troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical systems, pneumatics, and basic PLC logic.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of robotic systems.
- Familiarity with industrial safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- PLC programming experience (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell)
- Experience with industrial robot vision systems
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET)
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
