Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer Requests for Quote (RFQs), blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to gather accurate cost data, material lead times, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Calculate detailed material, labor, overhead, and other associated costs to develop competitive and profitable pricing.
- Prepare and present formal price quotations, proposals, and supporting documentation to customers.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all quotes, pricing structures, and customer communication within the CRM or quoting system.
- Follow up on submitted quotes, negotiate terms, and provide revisions as necessary to secure new orders.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, or value engineering to enhance quoting accuracy and competitiveness.
- 2 years of experience in quoting, sales support, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical specifications, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills for cost estimation, pricing, and margin calculations.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing complex quotes and proposals.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly) and materials.
- Proficiency with ERP or CRM systems commonly used for quoting and order management (e.g., SAP, Salesforce).
- Basic understanding of cost accounting principles related to manufacturing.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or CAD models.
