Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze Request for Quotes (RFQs) to understand customer specifications and project requirements.
- Calculate accurate costs for materials, labor, tooling, and overhead using established methodologies.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to validate technical specifications and material availability.
- Develop competitive and profitable pricing strategies based on cost analysis, market conditions, and company objectives.
- Prepare and submit professional, detailed, and timely quotations to customers.
- Maintain and update pricing databases, cost models, and quoting templates.
- Track quote status, follow up with customers, and support the sales team in converting quotes to orders.
- 2 years of experience in a quoting, sales support, or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel for cost modeling and pricing.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate cost estimation and margin analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and and external stakeholder interaction.
- Proficiency with CAD viewing software (e.g., SolidWorks Viewer, AutoCAD LT).
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VBA).
- Experience with specific manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, molding).
- Familiarity with supply chain logistics or material sourcing.
