Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions accurately in quality records and databases.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate containment and disposition processes.
- Maintain and verify the calibration status of measurement and test equipment used in manufacturing.
- Assist in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for quality defects and customer complaints.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement and monitor quality control procedures and standards on the manufacturing floor.
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role.
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpreting technical drawings.
- Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
- Ability to document non-conformances, perform basic root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
- Lean/Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification
- Experience with CMM programming
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex)
- Internal auditing experience (e.g., ISO 9001)
