Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications.
- Document inspection results, maintain quality records, and generate inspection reports.
- Identify, quarantine, and document non-conforming materials and finished goods.
- Assist in the investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Support the calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment.
- Ensure compliance with established quality standards, procedures, and work instructions.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Understanding of quality control methodologies (e.g., SPC, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA).
- Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Strong data collection and basic statistical analysis skills.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
- Internal auditor experience for ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
- Advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills.
