Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify specifications.
- Document inspection results accurately, including identifying and reporting non-conformances.
- Ensure products adhere to engineering blueprints, specifications, and established quality standards.
- Initiate and track non-conformance reports (NCRs) for defective materials or products.
- Collaborate with production personnel to address and resolve quality issues efficiently.
- Maintain organized and comprehensive quality control records and documentation.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing quality inspection or quality control role.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong understanding of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and inspection methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify and document defects.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) charting and analysis.
- Proficiency in programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or vision systems.
- Certification in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
