Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection procedures, and testing methods.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and company procedures.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and reduce defects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introduction (NPI) to ensure quality by design.
- Manage supplier quality, including audits, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in core quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, 8D).
- Strong understanding and application of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).
- Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective/preventative actions.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus).
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Advanced proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design review.
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE).
