The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing initiatives to support manufacturing operations.
- Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
- Manage inventory levels in collaboration with production to ensure material availability and minimize waste.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply for manufacturing.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the purchasing team to optimize performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing processes and supplier performance.
- 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills with a track record of cost savings.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills focused on supply chain optimization and risk mitigation.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with international sourcing and logistics management
- Proficiency in advanced data analytics tools for spend analysis and market intelligence
