Key Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust manufacturing presses according to specifications and production schedules.
- Operate presses to produce parts, monitoring machine performance and output.
- Perform in-process quality checks and inspect finished products for defects and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues or machine malfunctions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production instructions.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of press machinery.
- Load raw materials and unload finished components, ensuring proper material flow.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- 2 years of experience operating manufacturing machinery, ideally presses.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
- Ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety protocols and procedures.
- Forklift certification or experience operating other material handling equipment
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives
- Basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting and maintenance skills
- Ability to train or mentor junior operators on press operations and safety protocols
