Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new products from concept to mass production.
- Collaborate with design engineering to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Manage pilot production runs, identify manufacturing issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including Bills of Material (BOMs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
- Design, procure, and qualify new tooling, fixtures, and equipment required for new product introduction.
- Drive yield improvement and cost reduction initiatives during the new product ramp-up phase.
- Conduct manufacturing risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for new product processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing).
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with a focus on New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Demonstrated expertise in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, FMEAs, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, selecting equipment, and creating detailed work instructions.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Experience with advanced PLM/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Arena, Windchill)
