Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured products and components.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
- Document inspection results accurately, including identifying and reporting non-conformances.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product quality.
- Identify and quarantine defective materials or products, initiating corrective action processes.
- Maintain and perform basic calibration checks on inspection tools and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to quality control procedures, standards, and safety regulations.
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing quality inspection or a related role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
- Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to identify non-conformances.
- Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or other automated inspection equipment.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- ASQ certification (e.g., CQT, CQI).
- Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) for data analysis.
