Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in a manufacturing plant.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in production machinery and facility infrastructure.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure operational reliability.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Execute wiring, conduit installation, and termination for new equipment and upgrades.
- Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and control systems.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, electrical codes (NEC), and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Journeyman Electrician license or completion of an accredited industrial electrician apprenticeship program.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and sensors.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols, including LOTO procedures and NFPA 70E standards.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing environment.
- PLC programming proficiency beyond basic troubleshooting
- Experience with robotic systems maintenance and troubleshooting
- NFPA 70E Arc Flash Safety training/certification
- Proficiency with CMMS software for work order management and documentation
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) programming and optimization
