Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for IT hardware, software, and network issues across office and production environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with manufacturing-specific applications, shop floor PCs, and data collection systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, terminals, printers, and other IT equipment in production areas.
- Prioritize and respond to support requests, ensuring minimal disruption to critical manufacturing operations.
- Document support procedures, resolutions, and contribute to the IT knowledge base for common manufacturing issues.
- Assist with user account management, password resets, and access control for various manufacturing systems.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and system health checks on IT infrastructure supporting the factory floor.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware (desktops, laptops, printers) and common software (Windows OS, Microsoft Office suite).
- Basic understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi) and ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with manufacturing-specific software (e.g., ERP systems, MES) or operational technology environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems and incident resolution processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing-specific software (e.g., ERP, MES).
- Experience supporting shop floor hardware (e.g., barcode scanners, specialized terminals).
- Basic understanding of industrial control systems (PLCs, SCADA) or industrial networking.
