Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for IT hardware, software, and network issues for both office and manufacturing floor personnel.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with specialized manufacturing software (e.g., MES, CAD/CAM), industrial PCs, and production line systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, mobile devices, and shop floor equipment.
- Document all support requests, resolutions, and system configurations in the ticketing system and knowledge base.
- Assist with user account management, access permissions, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine checks on critical manufacturing IT infrastructure to minimize downtime.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g., Network, Server, OT Engineering) or external vendors.
- Strong ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Experience supporting manufacturing execution systems (MES) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for user support.
- Basic understanding of operational technology (OT) environments (e.g., PLCs, SCADA) for initial triage.
- Proficiency with help desk ticketing systems to log and manage support requests.
- Experience supporting manufacturing-specific software (e.g., MES, SCADA, CMMS).
- Familiarity with operational technology (OT) environments or industrial control systems (ICS).
- Knowledge of IT/OT convergence concepts.
- Experience with common shop floor hardware (e.g., barcode scanners, label printers, ruggedized devices).
