Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures for the manufacturing facility.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate environmental, health, and safety risks and hazards.
- Lead incident investigations for accidents, near misses, and environmental excursions, implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
- Manage the facility's emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) applicable to manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations.
- Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence EHS culture.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation
- Experience integrating EHS into broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives
- Prior EHS experience within a unionized manufacturing environment
