Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective EHS programs and management systems.
- Conduct EHS risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate workplace hazards.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees.
- Perform regular EHS inspections and audits to identify non-compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor EHS performance metrics, prepare reports, and communicate findings to leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and best practices.
- Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Professional EHS certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification or experience
- Experience with EHS management software implementation and optimization
- ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification
- Demonstrated experience leading sustainability initiatives and ESG reporting
