Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices for raw materials and customer payments.
- Perform accurate bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Process payroll for all manufacturing and administrative staff.
- Maintain the general ledger, posting journal entries related to production costs and inventory.
- Assist with tracking inventory levels and reconciling physical counts.
- Prepare and submit sales tax, payroll tax, and other required government filings.
- Generate basic financial reports such such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP), including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Familiarity with inventory management, cost of goods sold (COGS), and job costing specific to manufacturing operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and record-keeping.
- Familiarity with manufacturing costing principles (e.g., job costing, standard costing, inventory valuation).
- Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP Business One, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements in financial workflows.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
