We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead - Master Carpenter to join our dynamic construction and restoration team. That has been in the business for 38 years. Duties
- Lead and supervise construction, remodeling, and restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to blueprints, schematics, and safety protocols.
- Perform advanced carpentry tasks including framing, trim carpentry, cabinetry installation, door hanging, siding, and metal stud framing with precision and efficiency.
- Operate and oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment to execute detailed work across diverse materials such as wood, metal, concrete, stucco, and drywall.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately plan and execute projects involving plumbing, electrical systems, masonry, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, plastering, rebar installation, and fixture installation.
- Conduct site assessments for water damage restoration or mold remediation projects; coordinate heavy lifting operations; ensure proper use of scaffolding and safety equipment.
- Manage subcontractors and team members by assigning tasks related to caulking, siding installation, water damage restoration, cabinetry setup, remodeling activities, or electrical work while maintaining high safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with all construction site regulations; monitor progress; document project milestones through detailed reports; communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Experience
- Proven track record in construction estimating combined with hands-on experience in various trades such as carpentry (woodworking), masonry, roofing (including shingles), plumbing (including pipe fitting), electrical systems (including schematics), drywall finishing (including plastering), and flooring installation.
- Extensive construction site experience with a focus on restoration projects—water damage remediation or mold removal preferred—and familiarity with the restoration industry standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in blueprint reading; ability to interpret technical schematics for complex projects involving rebar fabrication or custom fixture installation.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools (including CNC machinery), scaffolding equipment; capable of heavy lifting safely while maintaining productivity.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to construction materials fabrication; experience with metal stud framing or custom woodworking is advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills with previous experience managing teams of skilled tradespeople; capable of coordinating multiple project phases efficiently.
