Montessori Certified Preschool Teacher
At The Peace Rose Montessori School, we are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Montessori teacher to join our team as an assistant floating teacher during the current school year. This role will provide the opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop your skills before transitioning into a lead teacher position in the following school year.
About the Role
- Ambassador of the Montessori Method: You will be responsible for delivering the Montessori program to children aged 2.5-6 years old, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters their intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
- Assistant Floating Teacher: As an assistant floating teacher, you will work alongside our experienced lead teachers to support the daily operations of the classroom, providing individualized attention and care to our students.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- AMS/AMI Montessori Certification or MACTE credentialed Montessori certification for ages 2.5-6
- At least 1 year of experience working in a Montessori classroom
- A love of working with children and a passion for the Montessori method
- Bachelor's degree in any field, Early Childhood Education preferred
- The ability to lift a child approximately 40 lbs and physical ability to sit on the floor with children when needed
This is a full-time position, working 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. As a lead teacher, hours may vary. We offer competitive compensation and a supportive work environment that values collaboration and professional development.
