Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role as a Teaching Assistant at The Pathway Initiative Inc., based in Boston, MA, with the flexibility to work remotely on certain tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting educational programs by assisting in teaching, mentoring students, and collaborating with educators to create a positive learning environment. The Teaching Assistant will work directly with students to provide academic assistance and foster their educational and career development goals, particularly in STEM-related areas. Open to college students.
Qualifications
- Experience in Assistant Teaching and Education with a focus on mentorship and guidance
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with students and families
- Experience and enthusiasm for Working With Children in educational or mentorship settings
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and promoting STEM education for underserved communities
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, combining on-site and remote responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (or relevant work experience)
- Prior experience in non-profit or community-based educational programs is a plus
