CSR - customer service - Addison, IL
Large national industrial distribution company is seeking an experienced customer service representative.
This is NOT a call center position. This is a key position where you take inbound calls from customers, enter quotes for industrial supplies for construction, answer questions, research answers, use Microsoft Excel. and our company software, work with other departments in the company, enter orders, and support the outside sales people.
Each day you might receive 10-15 phone calls and get 10-15 emails. Each one requires research.
This position talks about industrial parts for construction all day long!
We're looking for someone with customer service experience, preferably in construction or with industrial parts. Must be good at researching (figuring out what part the customer needs or what department you might need to speak with to get an answer) and following up.
Must be good with computers and Excel. This is a great team to work with and there is a lot of career opportunity. In fact, this position is open because we are promoting someone.
Responsibilities include:
Using computer system
Supporting outside sales staff
Taking inbound calls from customers
Processing orders
Entering quotes
Researching invoice problems
Communicating with various departments within the company
Working as a team to give great customer service
Requirements
Excellent computer skills
Strong in Excel
Great personality
Professional, energetic voice
Experience doing customer service for industrial parts distributor or trade company preferred - plumbing, electrical, construction, etc
