Fotofab is a mid-sized manufacturer located on Chicago’s Northwest Side. We’re in our fifth decade of manufacturing high precision metal parts through photochemical machining. Fotofab currently serves industries, such as, defense/aerospace, electronics, communications, medical and automotive. Fotofab is ISO 9001 certified.
The qualified individual will have minimally 3-5 years’ experience in an AS9100/ISO 9001 environment. Prior management experience is mandatory. Must have a proven track record working with external auditors and compliance. This position is part of the company’s Sr. Management team.
Manages, plans, coordinates, and heads the quality system. Oversees the development and analysis of statistical data and specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy.
Coordinates the administration of and collaborates with team members to develop ISO procedures and manuals. Examines company processes to determine if the products and procedures follow ISO standards.
Organizes, coordinates, and manages activities of the inspection staff; and plans and develops schedules for inspection projects. Oversees the work of the Inspection Division that includes assigning responsibilities, performing complex inspection assignments, and planning required examinations.
Job description:
• Work with customers, sales and production staff
• Supervise staff of inspectors
• Work independently as well as work with the management team
• Review customer quality clauses and quality agreements.
• Review customer T&C and survey’s
• Ensure compliance with ITAR
• Must lead the company through quality requirements and improvements.
• Lead Quality Committee
• This position plays a key role in maintaining day-to-day performance as well as establishing the long-term direction of quality
Qualifications:
• Quality control certification is advantageous
• Data analysis and statistical aptitude
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Prior experience as a Quality Manager
• Familiar with industry quality standards and processes
