Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, installations and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with all regulations. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on production machines, equipment, and systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Keep machinery and equipment running efficiently and safely.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to minimize production disruptions.
- Install, relocate, and maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation of repairs and parts usage.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
- Working with hazardous chemicals
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Seek to improve the equipment availability through lengthening time between failures and minimizing time to repair
- Aid production team with machine chemistry maintenance
- Perform necessary repairs and maintenance to buildings and grounds.
- Backup to wastewater treatment operator
- Performs other related responsibilities, as needed, to support Fotofab
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required, technical school or associate degree in industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, sensors, and control systems
- Familiarity with PLC programming and automation systems is a plus
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills to analyze problems
- Technical expertise regarding maintenance, electrical and mechanical systems
- Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to extend shifts, including weekends, overtime or on-call hours, as needed
- Ability to wear PPE for safe handling of chemicals
- Troubleshoot and repair both electrical and mechanical problems
- 5-10 years industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations
- Physically qualified to pass a pulmonary function test for wearing respirators
- To conform to the U.S. Government regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1434b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Working Conditions:
- This position operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and climbing. Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting may be required
