Recreation Leader - Full Time
Tuesday -Saturday 9-5pm

Essential Functions:
- Assist in evaluating resident’s recreational needs and developing activity programs upon resident initial admission relating to past and current interests.
- Promotes a physically and sensory stimulating environment to increase the functioning levels of residents.
- Develops, leads, and implements daily programs for individual and group activities as scheduled.
- Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for special events and seasonal parties.
- Maintains records of activities and attendance, including timely completion of resident’s daily participation in programs, MDS’s, Care Plans & Progress Notes.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- BS in Recreation preferred.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, and Excel) and EMR (Point, Click, Care)
- Ability to read and understand task assignments; must have excellent communication skills.
- Experience with geriatric long-term population or therapeutic recreation environment required.
