Position SummaryThe Shipping & Receiving Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the timely shipment of customer products and the accurate receipt of materials needed to support production. This position is responsible for shipping and receiving operations, inventory control, customer-supplied materials, and maintaining compliance with documentation, packaging, and GMP requirements.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy and efficiency are essential.
Responsibilities- Process incoming and outgoing shipments using ERP and supplemental shipping systems.
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
- Verify incoming materials and ensure documentation accompanies all deliveries to the appropriate departments.
- Communicate daily shipment and receipt activity with internal teams.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shipping and receiving area.
- Receive, store, and manage customer-supplied materials in accordance with GMP guidelines.
- Issue customer materials to production jobs and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Perform routine cycle counts of customer-owned inventory.
- Package customer products according to specifications while ensuring all required documentation is complete.
- Coordinate shipping priorities with Operations during high-volume shipping periods.
- Receive and distribute materials in accordance with company procedures.
- Cross-train to support stockroom operations as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with export shipping procedures and documentation.
- Understanding of production job allocation and inventory processes.
- Experience working within an ERP and/or MRP environment.
- Knowledge of DOT Hazardous Materials regulations (49 CFR Parts 100–185).
- Experience using Epicor ERP.
- Experience supporting medical device or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
