The #1 Priority of this position is…
To provide occupational therapy services as prescribed by a physician, which can be safely provided in the home and to assist the physician in evaluating the patient’s level of function by applying diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Schedule residents for treatment and evaluations.
- Guide the patient in his/her use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities for the purpose of improving function.
- Observe and record activities and findings in the clinical record to report to the physician the resident’s reaction to the treatment.
- Instruct the resident, family members and other health team personnel, when appropriate, in therapeutic procedures.
- Maintain inventory of materials and supplies for the assigned area of the department/facility.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience.
- Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Florida
- Previous experience in long-term care preferred.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred.
- Basic math skills required.

- Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays & in emergencies.
