To assist the Dining Room Manager in planning, organizing, directing, staffing, leading, controlling, coordinating the dining room, bar, training staff and inventory control.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Scheduling and supervising dining room waiters and waitresses.
- Assist with orientation and training of new waiters and waitresses.
- Maintain standards for safety, sanitation, storage of food supplies and banquet supplies.
- Interact courteously and tactfully with managers, co-workers, customers, vendors, residents and resident family members.
- Ability to promote and execute our culture of “Yes”.
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent (GED).
- Experience in food service and in supervising dining room staff.
- Ability to speak, read & write English with good comprehension. Spanish preferred.
- Basic math skills required.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of the restaurant service; health, sanitation and safety requirements.
